We Are Recovering Project

1458682550213Hi everyone! Today, I will tell you about a project called We Are Recovering I was asked to be a part of.   A few days ago on Instagram I was contacted by Jamie Galvan the founder of We Are Recovering project.  Jamie is a college student from Michigan who wanted to spread positivity to those who need it, as well as advice and giving them other alternatives to self harm.  Seeing that different things such as coloring, drawing, writing, and so much more can help with depression, anxiety, and a host of other disorders. She feels that she is in a good place to help and is stable enough to provide help to others. We Are Recovering sends free care packages to people living with mental disorders.  The care packages are personally funded, and packaged by Jamie herself. Donations are not a must but they are welcomed at anytime. What comes in each care package is based on interest, age group, and disorder.  It is a great cause and project I’m honored she wanted me to be involved.  All she wants is for people to spread the word, support and raise awareness for people living with different mental disorders.

That’s really amazing. Have you been clinically diagnosed with a mental disorder? Jw.

No, I have not but as you know a lot of disabilities come with mental disorders, and a lot of mental disorders are serious disabilities. So, I advocate and help raise awareness for a lot of different disabilities because I have friends and friends of friends that live with disabilities accompanied by mental illness. 🙂

I was just wondering. I remember watching a video of yours on depression. Idk. I went to an anxiety and depression screening a few weeks. They think that I may have a panic disorder. I’m working closely with a psychologist.

I haven’t been clinically diagnosed but I do suffer from depression at times. When I made the video you’re speaking of I was suffering through a really serious bout of depression, but someone asked me to give advice on how I get through it.
